Comment - Energy and Climate Change

Climate and health by David Flint

This autumn I wrote a paper for the Green Economics Institute. I was surprised to find the high degree to which the policies that reduce the risk of climate change also improve health. When the economic benefits of these improvements are included the case for decisive action on climate change is hugely strengthened. Governments that fail to act effectively are clearly indifferent to ill-health now as well as to the fate of future generations.
