Is 732nd good enough for Enfield? by David Flint

The Environment Agency has ranked the London Borough of Enfield 732nd out of 2,000 major organizations for its "early action" to manage its energy use. Nine London Boroughs were ranked ahead of Enfield. The good news is that many LBs did worse - with five in the bottom category.

The highest placed local authority bodies were Greater London Authority and the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority at joint 34th. The highest rated ordinary local authority was Preston - joint 41st.

I regret to say that Brighton and Hove was also in the bottom category - though since the data related to 2010/11 we had not had time to make a big impact there.
