Cash on Wheels! by David Flint

On Saturday July 5th local cyclists demonstrated their purchasing power by riding into Palmers Green to spend their money (and leave leaflets saying so). Cyclists from the London Cycling Campaign and the Enfield Green Party assembled in Winchmore Hill before cycling down Green Lanes.

The cyclists hoped to remind shopkeepers that, despite propaganda from the Green Lanes Business Association, not everyone is a motorist and that many customers arrive on two wheels or even two legs.

Green Party activists David Flint and David Hughes were present (though the latter is barely visible!).

The event was reported in the Enfield Advertiser.
