Further support by David Flint

... for lower urban speed limits comes from a recent paper by Prof Danny Dorling, now at Oxford. Writing in The British Academy for the humanities and social sciences Dorling argues that replacing 30 mph limits by 20 mph limits would be the single most effective measure to improve public health in the UK. Though he doesn't give much that's new he does have some interesting graphs and pictures. (Dorling, D, 2013: 20mph speed limits for cars in residential areas, by shops and schools.)
